Red Drogans (129) writes:
There was a knock on the door and Shammon called "Come!"
The aide came in closing the door behind him. Then waited as Shammon still had his back to him and his head tucked below his desk.
After a moment he looked up, turning enough to look over his shoulder.
"Ah Karl. Glad you are here. Could you take a message over to the keep. It would appear I shall not make it to the dinner tonight."
"Yes Sir. Right on it."
Shammon turned back tucking his head once more behind the desk.
After a moment he looked up again.
"You still here?"
"Yes Sir. I came bring you a message."
"Ah. Very good." He rose, turning to face the door and sat behind the desk.
His attention on the contents of the desk for a while.
"Would you know where I put my coffee?"
"Yes Sir. It's on the side board."
Karl walked over to fetch it and hand it over.
"Thank you, so very much." He sipped, then continued: "Now. I do hope the guests tonight are not as borring as they were last week. I don't know how he puts up with them. It's no surprise most Lords are out on the borders trying to hack each other to death. Burocrats, HA! Demons in disguise."
"Yes Sir."
"Ah Karl. Do run along now. I do have work to do."
"Yes Sir. In a moment. First the message."
"Message? Oh yes. Do continue."
"Note from below sir."
"Below?"
"Er. Yes Sir. The other end of the shaft."
"Ah yes. Yes. Do continue."
"Well sir it would appear that they have found a Dragon's Lair."
"Dragon's Lair you say."
"That is interesting." He was quite for a moment.
"I remember when I first came upon a Dragon many years gone now. It was in the wars up North. Lord Candon had gone up there to support Lord Mork only to discover that Lord Mork had jumped ship. Not only were we out numbered, but they had 3 Wizards with them of varying degrees. I was but an apprentise back then. I could do no more that throw up an illusion. But my master Old York. Never heard them call him anything else. Old York. Probably born old. Could be too. He came from the deep south. And they say there are tribes down there where the people look old even when they are still young. So they may be born old. Although you can't tell old from new when it comes to babies. They come out all wrinked and prune like. You could almost eat them, only prunes aren't quite that colour. Well normal ones aren't. In Hanover I once saw many colours at the market. Mind you, they weren't all prunes. Some where apples, some oranges. Good Oranges too. Sweet. Almost as sweet as the day we one that battle up North with the Dragon. They can be tough, you know, but they are beatable. We should get ourselves one. You know just in case."
"Yes Sir. That's what I've come to tell you. They are gathering men to go catch the Dragon. They leave in the morning and Lord More would have you go with them."
"A Dragon hunt in the morning. I need to get ready. Best tell them I'll not make dinner tonight. Things to do and what not."
"Yes Sir. Right on it."
Karl left closing the door on to muttering "...lance, tail, spade. Now where did I put my glazer?"

Order of Chaos (139) writes:
Defneely and Izzee just couldn't make heads or tails of the situation. Here they were in command of 800 militia troops, and suddenly their "under attack" by a lone dark dorf? Liikeely couldn't hold a candle to this one for insanity, and he was as crazy as they come. The boys tried to take him unharmed, but he wouldn't have any of that. They eventually had no choice but to take him down, like 6 feet under the ground down, when he managed to grab a mithril axe from one of the knight trainees. Nobody wanted to chance getting close to him after that, so they let the bowmen take care of him. Poor dorf looked like a spinster aunts pin cushion after they were done. Maybe the poor dorfs master has some explanation for it all.

Heliadois (192) writes:
We have gotten a foothold in the underground while the production of equipment chugs away at full steam on the surface. The rarest of materials have been located and teams are travelling as we speak to these far away locations to gather these riches so the studious master crafters in the cities can be put to the test by crafting new marvels of science with them.
We also just got some strange news from the underground just recently.
It seems some tall men, all on winged horses ambushed one of our unarmed, untrained scouts in the underground. Our scout defended himself quite valiantly and took 2 of the tall men down before succumbing to the wounds. One of them seemed a veteran grey haired planner who knew everything about strategy, but apparently nothing about hand to hand combat. A sad end to such fine individuals. A tragic one to our lone hero! One questions who gave orders of this assault.

GM - message
========================================
And another bug is biting our game engine. If big units are divided in two or more units, the resulting units can loose a good deal of their skill. Right at the moment I don't have the time to hunt for this bug, but I'll take care of it as soon as possible. Until then if anybody will stumble upon this bug tell me and I will set the skill values straight manually.
greetings
Arno
