Mothers saying good bye to their sons.
Troops gatherd, arms stock piled & store houses plunderd.
We go to war.
The decition was never anounced. But the riders told their own story.
A story confirmed by the rumours and quickly by observation.
All the town knew and soon all the realm if they did not already.
And probably before them, they knew across the border. Where too, swords were being sharpened, shields shined and troops drilled.

He smiled into his beer at the talk in that Tavern.
They had mixed opinion on whether he was just running from the assasin or going to enforce the border.
Some chose not to believe in the rumours of unrest. But with each passing day, more rumours were coming to town.
Most were probably true in some way or fashion. If you knew your neighbour was arming himself. You would too.
So, we go to war.
To war it is. Now the plans were realy coming on.
Already the prices in the market were rising.
Tough times coming.
The proverbial pruit was ready for the picking.
Well, not just yet. A little more patients.
